A slice of my heaven!!!!



Met someone, flew somewhere;

Not a single care in the air!


Spent time — chatted and conversed;  

Shared stories, spontaneous and not rehearsed!


Smiled hard, grinned endlessly;  

Till the jaw needed a break — honestly!


Drove to a church, took a dip;

Went reckless, losing my grip!


Felt something and then everything;  

Like a desire kindled in a half burnt spring!


Touched a dream I couldn’t own;

Heard echoes of a heart long gone!  


Left a whisper in that night —  

Someday I could call this life!

I looked into an abyss, right there in the mirror It wasn't dark anymore, it was hollow Allowed everything to pass by, almost even a war cry For everything that's worth, is yet to be gained And yet the mind only sees a soul completely drained It doesn't want anything, it just longs for belonging For companionship, for an ear - for someone to hear Hear as you may, the howls of a crying heart through the smiling pane For it's not the abyss I fear, the hand that I thought was there to save me - was actually to keep me there
